INFORMATION

HELLOYou can call me Hellhound or Wolf. I am an early 30s guy living in the US. I have about 15 years of experience, and got my start in the hobby on proboards and jcink forums before moving to 1x1.My method of creating a successful roleplay is through collaboration and communication. I want to create a rich, immersive story that we can’t get enough of. You can expect cohesive world-building, enthusiastic plotting, and frequent musing. I'm drawn to themes rife with emotional intensity, such as romance, heartbreak, angst, mystery, suspense, and horror, supplemented with a good helping of dark, mature content. If you also love high highs and low lows, we'll be off to a great start.I am most comfortable with modern supernatural settings. My main interest and favorite characters to write are werewolves, wolf shifters, and hellhounds. I have a lore doc for each that I will happily share if we end up writing together, but they are optional.

OUT OF CHARACTERI write with adults – ideally only folks 25 or older. Your gender and orientation do not matter to me.I live in the central timezone (GMT-6) and am interested in finding partners in timezones not too far off from my own. I can be a bit of a nightowl, but I don't have the best luck connecting with folks on other continents.Since I am looking for longterm partners, a quality I hope to find is someone interested in maintaining a friendly rapport out of character. I enjoy talking about our characters, sharing pinboards and music for our story, sending memes, and some chatting. We don't need to get into personal details, but I will generally feel much more inclined to keep our story moving if you're not totally silent out of character. While I am fairly available outside of my full time job, I am not always able to write every time I am online. Patience is key. I am good about letting partners know what to expect if there will be a delay outside of the established turnaround time and appreciate the same courtesy in return. No hard feelings about needing a break/having things come up – life happens – just keep me in the loop. I will never nag you for a post and expect that you would not prod me relentlessly, either. With that said, if our plot seems to be fizzling, feel free to ask, and I will do the same. We can either figure it out or amicably part ways.

WRITING STYLEI write in third person, past tense. I tend to start off a bit long winded to establish characterization, tone, and the setting. As the storyline plays out, my replies usually fall in the 200 to 400 word range, with longer posts when the mood strikes. With rapidfire, expect 1 to 3 paragraphs per reply.Quality over quantity is always the goal. I like the "write until you're done" approach and do not require a specific post length for replies. Variable post lengths are a huge draw for me – shorter for dialogue or action, longer for introspection and descriptions of environments, etc. I do my best to give my writing partner something to work with and expect the same in return. Keeping momentum in a scene is key.Being reasonably casual about replies is ideal. If writing long posts, I normally reply in one to five days. With short posts, I can usually reply daily, if not multiple times per day. Someone who is able to commit to the same is desirable but once a week at minimum is acceptable.I am happy to provide writing samples upon request.

MY CHARACTERSMy main characters are typically male. Most are dominant in personality and some are more middle of the road. I have written my fair share of heroes, but these days really enjoy morally grey or corrupt characters. My characters usually appear in their late twenties to late thirties physically. I use celebrity face claims or occasionally a realistic creation from artbreeder. I prefer to choose my own face claim and am happy for you to do the same. If you don't have one in mind, I can give suggestions. I am also open to writing against a character without photo references.I am only interested in MxF pairings at this time.I do not double, but enjoy side characters that come and go from the main story as we see fit. I am happy to write other genders and sexualities for supporting characters, as well as an array of different relationship types between them and our main characters.

RATING3-3-3. I prefer having a partner that doesn't shy away from mature and/or dark themes. I do not have any triggers and while I will respect yours, I do want to be clear that I enjoy/seek erotic, bloody, and gritty elements in my storylines. On that note, smut can be fun, and I enjoy writing it, but I'm not looking to write sex scene after sex scene without any plot/character development occurring simultaneously or in between. The plot to smut ratio I'm looking for is about 60/40. If that seems high, or you prefer fading to black, I am not the writer for you. Also worth noting – I am very much happy with a bit of lead-up to any smut and would rarely jump into a sexually explicit scene at the start of our roleplay.I am open to many relationship tropes and am kink positive, but have some limits. Let me know of yours and I will absolutely respect them and hope you’d do the same with mine.

CONTACTIf you have read everything above, please feel free to reach out to me wherever you saw my ad posted. If it has been over a week since the ad was posted, please know that I may not still be looking. If you've reached out to me in the past and we never got started or fizzled out, but you would like to try again, definitely feel free to send a message. When you reach out, please let me know what you like to be called, your pronouns, age, and timezone. Thanks!

YES PLEASE» Variable post lengths! I am accustomed to writing 3-5 paragraphs, but have a ton of fun with 1-3 paragraph posts with quick turnaround times. Even better is being able to have rapidfire sessions when the timing is right.» A storyline that starts off with a bit of a bang. I don't mind a slow burn, but a slow burn doesn't have to be uninteresting, either. Let's get our characters into some trouble early on!» A partner that can give me a solid character to write against, engage enthusiastically with plotting, and is well versed in the "yes, and..." nature of improvisation.» I'd love some darker storylines. Kidnapping, betrayal, obsession... Characters who want the other dead, or are just not good for each other. I want broken hearts and violence and impossible decisions.» Definitely not looking for slice of life, but I enjoy letting characters exist together occasionally. Let 'em have some tenderness, drive somewhere on a whim, work through tension or anger, fold laundry, and be awkward or funny. It can be insightful to see how a scene plays out naturally without a specific plan. Maybe it'll be a sweet moment for them. Maybe we'll all be left devastated and reeling from something unexpected happening.» If you haven't guessed yet: Yes, I do want to write steamy, filthy sex scenes as well as a fantastic story. The smut can have just as much to do with the plot as it can be an aside. I'm here for it all.» Last, and though it should go without saying, a writer who is literate with a good grasp on spelling (or willing to use spellcheck) is a must. You don’t need to be a professional, but please at least make a small effort to proofread. I am not perfect myself, but I try my best!

NO THANKS» Jumping into IC posts before getting a plot, setting, and some character details settled. I know it's exciting to get the story going, but a little warm-up and chatting helps me to figure out if we might jive longterm.» A plot that isn't a collaborative effort. I don't want to write the book you've already planned out from beginning to end, I want to roleplay. We should both be bringing ideas to the table.» A partner that easily loses muse or can't push through a slower scene without wanting to drop the roleplay. I want us both invested in seeing the storyline progress over time. Even if we hit a roadblock, we can come up with a way forward or part ways with no hard feelings if we communicate.» A partner that can't share focus or development between our characters. I'm not interested in writing a side character. I'm looking for a co-lead. I prefer sharing the spotlight or alternating time spent in it equitably.» Large age gaps or ageplay of any kind. I will not write against any characters under 18 years old and prefer main characters to be 25+.» Plots that revolve around pregnancy, babies/children, or single parents. I'm not opposed to a long term roleplay maybe resulting in characters starting a family, but it's not something I'd enjoy writing about right away. In fact, I'm good with avoiding this topic altogether for most plots.» Self insert characters. If you are writing yourself, or refer to our characters as "you" and "I", I will end the roleplay. Please keep IC and OOC separate.» 500+ word posts 100% of the time. I can't do it anymore. I'm tired. I'm hangin' up my boots. I'll write them when the mood strikes (which is still often), but I can't sign up for another always novella length story right now.
